About This Tool

GC Content Analysis: GC content (the percentage of guanine and cytosine bases) is an important metric in molecular biology that affects:

  • DNA stability and melting temperature
  • Gene expression and transcription efficiency
  • PCR primer design and amplification
  • DNA synthesis complexity

Sliding Window Analysis: This tool analyzes GC content in 30bp windows across your sequence to identify regions with unusually high or low GC content. These regions may require special consideration for cloning, synthesis, or amplification.
